🔊 St. Petersburg University is the oldest university in Russia. It was founded in 1724. Before, it was called the Academic University, which was founded by Peter the Great.
The university educational and scientific complex includes: 24 special faculties and institutes, as well as a university-wide department of physical culture and sports, a medical college, a college of physical culture and sports, economics and technology.
Today about 25 thousand students from dozens of countries of the world study at St. Petersburg University.
