This is a museum. We can see famous works of art in it.
This is a theatre. We can see interesting plays and performances in it.
This is a cinema. We can see different films in it.
This is a square. We can walk there.

1. Kyiv is situated on the banks of the Dnipro River.
2. More than three million people live there.
3. The streets of Kyiv are wide and nice. They are lined up with chestnut trees, lime trees and poplars.
4. In Kyiv people can visit museums, art galleries, concert halls, theatres and cinemas.
5. The city has a well-developed transport system.
6. You can travel around the city by buses, minibuses, trams and cars.

Ann goes to school by bus. It takes her 20 minutes to get there.
Miss Alison goes to the theatre by the underground. It takes her half an hour to get there.
Mr Parker goes to the hospital by car. It takes him 40 minutes to get there.
I go to school by bike. It takes me ten minutes to get there.

3. The city has a well-developed transport system.
4. There are many art galleries in Kyiv.
5. The Ukrainians are proud of their capital.
