🔊 It was a nice afternoon last summer, and Paul and Andrew 1) sailed for a week in the Mediterranean. The two friends 2) had been planning the sailing trip for months. They 3) had been sailing for over two hours when black clouds 4) appeared in the sky. A storm 5) was coming. Paul 6) told Andrew to get back in the boat as the water 7) was becoming very rough. The wind 8) was blowing hard and the boat 9) was starting to rock. Suddenly, they 10) heard a loud crashing sound. Paul and Andrew couldn't believe their eyes when they 11) saw that the boat 12) had struck a large rock. There was a large hole in the side of the boat and they 13) were sinking fast. Quickly, they 14) put on their lifejackets, 15) sent out an SOS message and then 16) jumped into the sea. In a few minutes the boat 17) sank to the bottom of the sea. They were really scared but then they 18) heard the sound of a boat coming towards them. It was the coastguard. The crew 19) helped them get out of the water and 20) gave them blankets to keep warm. Paul and Andrew 21) had never felt so relieved in their lives. They were lucky to be alive.
